Many of us become solopreneur CEOs because we want more in our business and life.
Being a solopreneur can be the most fulfilling, yet scariest job in the world. You’re in control of everything, especially your own success. Whether you’re an established or early-stage solopreneur, it’s crucial to set the strategy for your business.
Learn how to strategize for success, unleash your superpower and find & attract YOUR ideal clients.
- What’s your business vision? Does your vision align with your personal and professional values?
- Where do you hope to see your business next year? How about five years from now?
- What do you hope to achieve and why?
- What is your market and who are your potential customers?
Carve out time to work on your business
In my experience, many solopreneurs don’t have a business vision or strategy. The good news is that it’s never too late to remedy this situation. Pause and reflect to create the vision or roadmap for your business. Remember, your vision should be aspirational and concise, captured in less than a sentence or two. For example, my vision for Life Reinvented® is “to guide, inspire and build a global community of solopreneurs who are strategic, accountable and intentional about creating a more fulfilling, rewarding and sustainable entrepreneurial life.”
Build your long-term strategy
Once you have your business vision and know where you’re heading, you need a five-year strategy to get you there. Create realistic, specific and measurable goals for each year. Place your most complex goal in the fifth year and adjust your strategy, as needed. Continue to update your strategy every five years to address changing market conditions. Strategic planning is one of the most significant steps you can take to create a successful life as a solopreneur.
